What's in the name

We are always asked about the name ‘Tiuta’ and where it came from? Well, we thought an explanation was long overdue about the history and the significance of Tiuta.

Well, when the shareholders and Directors originally decided to set-up a bridging loan company they wanted a unique company name which reflected the core values of the business - dependable, strong, solid and above all world class.The other key element was to find a name which was unusual, it would stand-out in the industry and on a more practical level would be simple to register at both Companies House and also as a web domain name.

After several hours of research we came across the Kata Tiuta National Park in Australia which is a world heritage site and within its boundaries has both Uluru (formerly Ayer’s rock) and Kata Tjuta.

The range is not quite as famous as Uluru but is instantly recognisable and the entire site is a UNESCO World Heritage one - an area which is truly one of the new wonders of the world.

Tiuta was born, and since its launch we have become the leading bridging loan company in the UK and our aim is to make sure it remains the best in class and continues to reflect our core values.
